Versus Runner Game – Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

Organiser: Versus Socks (Pty) Ltd (“Versus Socks”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

1. Introduction

By accessing or participating in the Versus Runner Game (“the Game”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not participate.

Participation in the Game also constitutes consent to receive marketing communications from Versus Socks in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You may unsubscribe at any time.

2. Eligibility

The Game is open to everyone, but only South African residents 18 and older can win the prizes.
Employees, agents, and affiliates of Versus Socks (Pty) Ltd, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to win prizes.
Entrants must have a valid South African email address and internet access.

3. How to Enter

Play the Versus Runner Game via the official Versus Socks website: https://versussocks.com/pages/versus-runner#redirectoff
To be eligible for prizes, you must submit your email address via the entry form provided.
By submitting your email, you agree to join the Versus Socks mailing list and consent to receiving marketing and promotional content.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email you receive.
However, unsubscribed participants will be automatically disqualified from winning, as all winners are announced and contacted via email.
The winner will be announced on the 5th of December 2025.

4. Prizes and Winner Selection

Prizes include a R5000 Versus Socks Voucher, an iPhone 17 Pro, and spot prizes as described in promotional material.
The participant in first place on the leaderboard at the end of the competition period will win the R5000 Versus Socks Voucher.
All other prizes (including the iPhone and spot prizes) will be awarded via random draw from valid entries.
Winners will be notified via email only. Failure to respond within 7 days of the notification email may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.

5. Cheating and Fair Play

We believe in fair competition. Any attempt to cheat, manipulate results, or exploit the Game in any way will result in immediate disqualification.

Cheating includes, but is not limited to:

Using bots, scripts, or automated systems to play.
Creating multiple accounts or using multiple email addresses to gain advantage.
Exploiting technical glitches or vulnerabilities.
Manipulating scores or altering data.

Versus Socks reserves the right to investigate suspicious activity and remove any participant suspected of unfair play, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

6. Data Collection and Use (POPIA Compliance)

By entering the Game, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described below:

Name and surname
Email address
Gameplay and leaderboard data
Device and usage information (such as browser type, IP address, session data)

Administer and manage the Game.
Contact winners and deliver prizes.

Participation in the Game is at your own risk.
Versus Socks (Pty) Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury (whether direct or indirect) arising from participation in the Game or acceptance of any prize.
We are not responsible for technical issues, website errors, data loss, or network problems that may affect participation or leaderboard performance.

8. General Terms

Versus Socks reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Game or these Terms at any time without prior notice.
Any changes will be published on versussocks.co.za.
Our decisions on all matters relating to the Game are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
